As you can tell…I have had a pretty busy few days. To the point where I even slept in and missed my training session. Well…my day got even worse- we had a terrible problem with a not so fun client and missed my cycling class that I was going to use to make up missing my training. Ahh….don’t you love these days?
I’m not sure if you are with me on this but exercise is something I have molded into my brain and if I do not get it…I’m not happy. So honestly, haven’t gotten a lot of work outs in lately and then missing today after scheduling TWICE means I need to shake it off and start over.
So here’s some things I am doing to get my butt in the gym tonight…
1- Drink Water
Yea…I’m not a fan either..but it feels cleansing and will get you ready. Just suck is up and drink a glass
2- Look at something positive.
Nowadays….there are some great motivating tools where you can motivate yourself through images, posts, blogs (ahem…) and more. Check out Pinterest or come back here and click on the tag motivation 🙂
3- Don’t forget you aren’t perfect… like Michael Jordan said:
“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
4- Plan it…don’t think about it- make it a plan. If it’s in the next 30 minutes, schedule it in your mind as after 30 minutes I will go and do 30 sit ups or go to the gym.
5- Finally..GET GOING!
