It is one of the most exciting and motivating things to see friends jump into a fitness adventure or endeavor. These last few months, I have seen three very talented, smart, amazing and great friends of mine conquer their fears and tell themselves they could do it. These ladies are honorary coaches in my book. They literally said, “to hell with it,” and did it. So, so proud.
It goes to show that YOU can do anything you put your mind to. It may sound crazy at first, but the more you think about it, the more you focus on it and start to believe in it. I think that’s how all success begins and is created. You must focus and focus, don’t let anyone else deter you and just do it.
Congratulations to these wonderful ladies! Make sure you congratulate them too! And of course…if you want to join the club- do what they did. Focus and do it. 🙂
I saw EJ finish the Broad Street 10 miler in June and couldn’t be more proud. EJ has always been an athletic, super metabolism woman (I’m jealous of her metabolism) but never took the jump to run a long distance event. She never missed her long runs and kept focused until the finish line. I couldn’t be more proud, she is the definition of determination! Next up for her…the Rock and Roll Philadelphia Half! :)EJ
So proud of Amanda…the weeks leading up to the race she was so nervous. BUT she took the ground running and went through 10 obstacles and JUMPED OVER FIRE to complete this challenge. Talk about a special 5k to accomplish!
Deandra thought she couldn’t do it. Like Amanda, she kept getting nervous and didn’t think she could do it. BUT, after a push and shove from coworkers and her boyfriend she COMPLETED and finished the mud run…with a bit of mud in her ears 🙂
