1000 Workout

In the spirit of training like an Olympian, I found this workout called the 1000 workout while looking and researching more interval work. I was intrigued by it…and decided to try it thinking it would be easy. I mean….it’s only 50 of everything right?

Well…interval training is always more difficult than it seems and this one takes the cake. This workout will take you 20-30 minutes depending on your warm up and speed of exercises. For example, there is no possible way for me right now to do 50 push ups straight. 🙂

My warm up was 20 lunges and 30 jumping jacks four times each.

The 1000 workout

  • 50 squats
  • 50 deadlifts
  • 50 mountain climbers
  • 50 lunges
  • 50 bicycle crunches
  • 50 supermen (superman)
  • 50 squat jumps
  • 50 left lift crunches
  • 50 sumo squats
  • 50 jumping jacks
  • 50 second plank
  • 50 push ups
  • 50 second wall sit
  • 50 bridges
  • 50 second high knees
  • 50 bent over rows
  • 50 chest press on Bosu Ball
  • 50 second skaters
  • 50 crunches on Bosu Ball
  • 50 second jump rope

See? Interesting and intriguing? Try this for your Friday afternoon before happy hour. I promise the calorie burn is worth it!
