I love the running community and how much they cheer you on no matter what your athleticism is. The Nike Marathon series is a tribute to this (props to RunDisney as well).
When I was researching for some speed training advice on running, I ended up finding a great schedule with Nike Women. They were also promoting an app which was part of the schedule. Since I’m a fitness techie (my newfound terminology) I figured it was worth a shot.
I’ve had the app for two weeks and LOVE it. For quick workouts, it’s really great to get it done! For at home workouts, it’s perfect. Since I’ve been bunking with my best friend for a few weeks, I’ve been able to wake up early to get a quick workout in. And it works you OUT. You will definitely feel it the next day or two.
The best part… it’s FREE!
Additionally, the app rewards you with new workouts and programs when you continue to workout. What a great concept right? There are some other features like challenging your friends and social sharing which add to the app but for the most part it’s a perfect on the go app for you to use when you need some strength training.
Although it takes a lot of space on your smart phone, it’s a GREAT app and well worth the download.
