2014 has begun!

Happy New Year! Can you believe it’s 2014?

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. I kept trying to save a draft of a post and then couldn’t get to finishing it. I think a lot of blogging is what comes to you. Since training for MCM, there wasn’t much energy left to add my training notes here. I actually regret it now because it would be great to read through them again. But…for next time, lesson learned.

No matter, I missed blogging.

So I’m back in action. Ready to go in 2014 and pretty excited.

So to keep you updated, here’s what you’ve missed:

I DID finish the Marine Corp Marathon. Thanks to my amazing family and friends, I made it to the finish line. I may have been sick as a dog afterwards, but it was the most unbelievable experience I have had. Thanks to all of you for your glowing support.

Christmas and New Year’s celebrations couldn’t have been better. It was wonderful to celebrate at home with my friends and family. We even had a surprise proposal at the house during our annual Christmas Party for the animal shelter. Needless to say, we were all so excited for Kristen! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are off to a good 2014!

We’re off and running- Nike Women’s Half Marathon is April 28th, 2014 and we’re in! I’m very excited to join my girlfriends in DC again and bring some new ones too! This year, I’m determined to hit 2:00. Therefore, to make sure my training is on point…I’ll be sharing my story here.

Again..I hope you all had a great holiday and are starting a good year! See you soon 🙂
